I just had one of the best hunts I have ever had. My wife had a half day of school and let me out to play in the snow for a few hours. The woods were covered in a blanket of fresh snow and it was still coming down. About a hour into the hunt it started coming down harder. This good sized Doe came out about 50 yards away from me. I grabbed my bow off the hook and stood there waiting for the shot. When I could see she was coming my way I got ready and looked down at the bow. I had to brush off the snow from the feathers and the rest to take the shot. She ran about 35 yards and I watched her drop. Just an awesome hunt in the snow. Never have I been hunting in snow like this. And to top it off in November.
Funny thing I never knew it was a buck until I walked up to it. All that snow and the low hanging tree limbs covered his head I never noticed the antlers, Nice surprise!!

Awesome! Great picture!
What's funny is how big that buck is. He is big. You are 6'5" 260# and he still looks big.
o so now I am a fat guy 260 come on maybe 245 and only 6'3" , looked like a big doe to me I saw meat in the freezer walking in. I got a ton of meat of this deer. And I gave some to my friend that was a big help coming out in the storm just to take a picture for me.
Keith I hope the deer in KS that you see or harvest are 200+ lbs and 170+ in antler!!!! MONSTERS!!!!! out there I know I dream about going back all the time.
Great picture. That smile says it all. :clapper:
That is a classic picture and almost makes a guy go back in time. Nice to see such genuine joy on your face too. Hard to beat those TallTines
I'm not a huge snow fan but would love to hunt it. We seldom get snow here. Well done and nice TT.
Way to go Gary. Fast start to breaking in your new bow.
Fine harvest and great experience.....

Just Great stuff right there!!
Congrats and cool pictures!
Fantastic!! You got a lot more snow down there than we got out of the storm. Nothing better than hunting in the snow. I hope your area has recovered from Sandy. I grew up just over the border from Enfield.
