Anybody ever heard of a Yarak bow? Any comments would be appreciated.
Yarak bows were built by Tom Martini in Sidney, MT....good bows and a great guy, and longtime trad bowhunter. Wish I had one....
Mark, are these Hill style?
Tom is good friends with Dick Robertson, and I think he learned to build them in the same style of Dick's longbows...kind of a milder deflex/reflex. When strung, they look like a Hill or "D" bow style. At least the ones I remember. I'm pretty sure Tom doesn't make them anymore...and he never really went hog wild building them, but he did a great job doing the ones he did.
Thanks, now I have some thinking to do...Hmmm.
Yep - second what Mark has said. Tom is a good friend and built some fine bows.
I have a Yarak Tom made for me good bow and good guy . They were pretty much a copy of Dick Robertsons bows and I think Tom made some bows for Dick. Real quality .
