I lost my Damascus Glove out hunting the other weekend so I need to buy another. I was wondering how I can add a tad bit more thickness but still feel the string. I love the damascus and would not regret reordering one. I was just curious how many people use a deerskin or Berlin style deerskin from 3rivers or any others that you can feel the string well with. Thanks!
I can't say anything for the Damascus glove but I just got my big shot and love it!! Once broken in you can feel the string surprisingly well. It might be worth a look if you haven't tried one yet

I sure like the Dura-glove from 3 Rivers, but there are many other options.

I've shot the Damascus glove forever, I've got the one I'm shooting and a broken in one in reserve with a couple new in the package at all times. Always pick them up when I see them on sale.
I shoot a medium, but the first thing I do is soak it in water and stretch it in by wearing it wet and shooting with it like that. This makes it form to my hand extremely well... A single glove will last me on average 2-3 years... But, as you know they can get misplaced and with the nature of the thin leather can wear out pretty quick and unexpectedly...
Love them and don't see a reason for me to change...
Nice input, Does the wet leather when dryed help reenforce the leather by making it harder?
To a degree... still very flexible and you still have the feel of the string... but, it sets the leather at the size and shape of your hand and string grooves seem to get set quicker too... I go smaller then my comfortable wear which would be a large and go with the medium and stretch it in... The place mine normally wear out is on the back at the knuckles... more dry rotted out, but that takes time...
Goatskin glove from Kustom King. I love mine! Got to get another though. A chipmonk got into the garage and chewed on the ring ringer.
X2 on the Kustom King gloves, well made with thick leather on the tips.
I sprung for one of the Skookum gloves, wore through the outer layer, literally destroyed, within a week with a 45# bow. Kudos to jdhunts on **** though, he replaced it FOC and had a new one on the way before I could get to the post office to send it back.
