Had this young stud come through. He was more interested in the locust pods than lovin. Still haven't witnessed any rut activity personally. Have had a few buds talk about some rut happenings with the bucks starting to feel it though.

Thanks for sharing TJ
It's just a matter of time Tom! They are really getting fired up down here!
Your time is coming. They are beginning to chase the ladies here.
TJ,I gotta tell ya'...That monster in your avatar is going to be hard to top. I have to ask..What did that deer score man. It really is awesome.
The way things are going for me this year I would have probably dropped the string on that one!! Good luck!
Steve
T.J.,
I've been waiting to see what you drag out of the woods this year! Ever since the before and after pic of last years buck I have been checking to see what you have your eye on...Hey didn't you walk up and take a pic of a bedded buck lastyear that was "BIG" If memory serves me correctly I thought it was you and I'm wondering if you are trying to connect with him? Good Luck brother and hope you tag him... Keefers<><
So you decided to hold on to your buck tag and hunt the rut this year?!
Good luck, tag a big 'un!
Nice pics! Thanks for sharing. Good luck with the rut!
Your time is soon TJ. Those were Honey locust he was eating, correct ?
Don't know if you remember it or not but I started a thread last year about Locust Pods..... Mason and I found a "deer graveyard" in a grove of black locust and wondered if the deer had eaten them and poisoned themselves ??? we found at least 25 dead deer in a 300yd area in this black locust grove. I am 99% sure it was a reclaimed strip mine from 40 years ago ? My daughter is pre-med and she seemed to think that black locust was very poisonious ???
Looking forward to one of those KY giants and your hero pic soon bud ! :archer2:
Nah, no need to take out the 2015 harvest crop today. This one is somewhere in the vicinity anyhow and there are three others on this farm I know about lurking around I would be happy to take as well.

Keefer, yeah found him alive and well this summer and he was targeted for sure, but the neighbor killed him the first week of October. Here is the picture you are talking about from last year. A shame for sure. For those that didn't read my thread. I was walking to the stand last year with only a doe tag in my pocket and he was laying 15 yards off the path.

Nice one! Wish we had better management here. :( Thanks for sharing TJ  :)
Here is another one on this farm I'd like to let the air out of. He walked under me last year and knew he would be a winner. He made a great jump this year. I think he is a four year old now.

T.J.
Yep that was the pic I remember and very sorry someone else got him and not you...I always enjoy your posts and hope to read a story soon with some pics :readit:
Good luck TJ! Those are some really awesome looking bucks. The rut kicked in here on Oct.26 with a cold snap that hasn't let up. Some real hogs have been shot in my county.
Man, I tell ya guys I just got in from a spot that is a funnel and have yet to see or hear any rut activity. It's very strange. All my local buddies are telling me their deer are going crazy. I saw a 140 buck this afternoon behind the house birddoging a doe for over an hour. But still yet to see any action at the farm. This place has a ton of thicket area so I am sure I have just not found the right spot yet.
Had two does tonight walk down the fence 10 yards in front of me. The second one was a horse and my trigger finger was sure itching. Didn't want to mess up a shot on a buck though if he was behind her. No buck!
Hope you all are having better luck.
TJ just stop it will ya....
Wow Tom ! You guys sure have some brutes on your place !
Nice pics. It is so bad where I hunt I have not shot any deer yet. I usually have at least two deer in the freezer by the end of Oct. I'm gonna keep after it because I know the deer are there; they just need to go to a class on cooperation!
Good luck to you TJ!

TJ.... Use to watch the old videos the double bull guys put out. I forget the trad archers name but he use to call it " harvesting tomorrows trophies today". :) That always cracked my up. Good job holding back. Its only going to get better.
