I do not know if this will qualify for a legitimate kill? I will not really know until next spring(((LOL)))!!!

Oh you're hooked now! It'll be the first of many if you stick with it very long.
BTW, this was my first Arrow I made, wood shafts ended up not the correct spine I needed. And those were feathers I got from Magnus.
I was really practicing shooting the new setup. And the arrow was pretty beat up allready. Previous I was hitting the 10 ring! Just got tired and over shot.
I counted at least 3 excuses.

Hey hang in there. Those skinny saplings are a lot harder to hit than that block target!
Great track job, the littles are better to eat than a big ole oak.
see if a crock pot will help! :bigsmyl:
Nice penetration. I think that counts as a pass through. :)
Looks to be a direct hit but those saplings are tough.
wow! good job! It's hard to hit a target that small! :archer2:
There is an archery competition called a wand shooting. You're ready!
I got one just like that, a few years ago, whilst shooting at a doe. I remember thinking "easy shot, hit just left of that saplin'..."
Couldn't of hit any more in the center!
Can't say it was my first one, but I've "killed" a few like that. :smileystooges:
That was great penetration! What's your set up!
aim small , hit small tree :D
right thru the heartwood !

:D
LOL
Had one like that at a 3D shoot. Took forever to get it back.
After many trials later, I came up with this version which I did not take pics, but I was killing the block deer in the vitals at 25 yds!

It's not a completed arrow, need a cresting tools or a really steady hand...Magnus feathers, wood cedar shalft cut dowm to stiffen it, however, I really need a stiffer spine.
JL :archer2:
Oh, BTW, thanks to the gr8t help, advise, and all items I bought right here on Trad Gang classifieds, the arrow above is just an example of it all put together!
Now, if a suicidal Deer would just get close enough!
JL
Yep, perfect heart shot!
Looked like it was about to charge!
Many years ago (around 1973 or 74, I drilled a sapling with a Bear Grizzly. I was shooting at a Doe while scouting. My buddy, who thinks I'm way too lucky, even cussed because he thought I hit the deer. While searching for blood we found my Bear Razorhead through a sapling like your shot.
My only regret....I cut about 6" of that sapling and left the broadhead in it. Somehow, back at college I lost track of the "trophy". I wish I had kept it.
Thanks for your picture...it brought back a long ago memory.
