I AM ONE OF THOSE LUCKY GUYS WHOSE WIFE IS ALSO HIS BEST FRIEND. JEN HAS SPENT THE LAST SEVEN YEARS SCOUTING, BUILDING BLINDS, PUTTING OUT SCENTS AND SITTING ON STAND FOR HOURS WITHOUT A SHOT. WE SPENT THE LAST WEEKEND HUNTING WITH A FRIEND AT HIS PROPERTY. ON SUNDAY NIGHT JEN TOOK A NICE DOE WITH HER 44# PRONGHORN. SHE DROVE A MAGNUS TWO BLADE INTO THE SPINE OF THE DOE FROM A TREESTAND. SHE IS STILL TRYING TO PROCESS THE MANY EMOTIONS THAT COME FROM THE KILL. THIS IS JUST ONE OF THE REASONS I LOVE HER - BUT I AM SO PROUD THAT I WANTED TO TELL EVERYONE. GREAT JOB JEN!!!

Good on Ya!!! Nice job!! :clapper:
Bob.
Sorry you had to begin with a spine shot Jen. That scenerio can be tough on many of us. Don't let that alter your path though as most aren't that way.
Congrats!
Nice job Jen!

Congrats, first one down, many more to come !!!
Congratulations Jen! I second TJ's thoughts. Unfortunately, I know exactly the mixed feelings that a spine shot can present. Had it happen myself just this year on a doe.
Still a far more humane end for an animal considering the many other possibilities that they face every day.
You did good, and will do even better on the next one. :clapper:
Way to go!
Nice....those of us who have wives that hunt are doubly blessed.
  :clapper:
Serious congratulations to your wife!!! Wow, nicely done.
Also, happy for you brother. Few of us will ever have a spouse that likes to hunt.

Stay the course Jen. I feel a special connection as my very first deer as a teenager was spine shot and my father had left to go back to the house... Also in Michigan (Antrim County).
Congrats!
Congrats Jen. Way to persevere!
Tom

Congrats to you both. That's a fine doe Jen!
Great Job Jen. And like mentioned earlier, don't let a spine shot kill the passion for the hunt...

Nathan

Nice shot Jennie! Hope the experience of hunting is always rewarding for you whether you get game or not. Its more than just taking game by appreciating the woods and the animals and things that you see. Especially being able to hunt with your best friend!
