The old Super Necedah and '57 Bear Razorhead makes meat... Sue and I went down to our farm in Chester Co. to try and put some meat in the freezer. Plan was to hunt until 9:00 AM and then load up some fire wood to bring home. We have hunted here at home and have not seen a deer all season. We contribute this to a very poor nut crop in our woods for the first time in 14 years. Anyway we got in our stands way before light and no deer movement until 8:00 when these three deer ran past Sue and the one stopped right under me . A five yard shot and it looked like a small doe. Whether it was my bad old eyes or I was just concentrating on my kill spot, I never noticed it was a button buck. Anyway we took good care of him and he is all quartered up and in the frig. We will be back at it again in the next few weeks to try and fill the freezer for winter.
