Interested in the longbow. Thanks. Bill
I own 2 of them. Smooth, quiet and quick. Best longbows I have owned and thats a lot.
I have an Inferno it's very quick and quiet
I have an Inferno on order,
I have a Classic, "D" longbow from Ken. Fast, quiet and forgiving. Not more that I could ask of a bow. I have 12-15 customs and ILF bows hanging on the wall right now and my Whippenstick is my go to bow this fall.
I had the Longbow, wicked fast and accurate. Sold it to a buddy. Wish I had it back.
I had the Inferno (recurve), wicked fast and accurate. Sold it to a buddy, would want it back too, but I just replaced it with the 3 PC Phoenix.
The Phoenix (recurve), beyond wicked fast and accurate.
I will tell you about mine.Mine is his high performance longbow.66 inches and 47#s at 30.Its got a double arched riser of coco and bubinga.limbs are carbon backed with boo cores and tiger myrtle veneer on belly.Really nice diminutive tips. Its 2 piece steel sleeve TD with custom pistol grip.Adds a little mass weight
Its a real sweet shooter and very fast.
I had 2 of these same longbows custom made before he made this one for me.He changed the design a bit.The riser is kinda long and limbs are very sleek and narrow with finely tapered lams.Good reflex.
I have also had 3 of Kens recurves and currantly have a 2 piece 50s style Inferno that matches this longbow pretty much.It has no carbon though. Its a superb bow.It has a particularly beautiful limb shape aesthetically speaking!
I have the 3 PC Pheonix recurve on order.I like his bows and Kens a good guy to do business with.
From Whippenstick I shot the Longbow (cheater version with D-shaped limbs), the Inferno (50's recurve) and the 3pce Phoenix recurve.
Compared with my Cari-bow Peregrine, I preferred the Cari-Bow over the Whippenstick longbow. But I shoot that Peregrine intensively for two years now, so I might be biased.
Nevertheless, I don't think you can go wrong with the Whippenstick Longbow. Smooth, fast, quiet and good craftmanship. Belongs to the top.
I shot the Inferno, and with that bow I even shot better then the Whippenstick Longbow. It felt trustd in my hands, and gave me great grouping from the first shots. Again, sweet, fast, quiet.
Then I shot the Phoenix and I think this bow is the ultimate model from Ken. Best bow I ever ever shot, period.. In fact, I liked it so much, I own one now....
