I think he's just a 2 year old. I'm no trophy hunter, and I might shoot him, especially if I'm on the ground. But looking at his antlers, they seem pretty skinny. I hope he makes to next year.

The reason I wishy washy about shooting him, is that the gun hunters around this property WILL shoot a deer like that.

Hey buddy,

That is a dandy looking buck. Yes, there's a ton of pressure on MI bucks, especially with the current tag system that's set up for revenue to the DNR.  He looks like a dandy 2.5 year old to me.  While the rack may look 'skinny', it does have dome decent length and width to it and if he made it to a third year, I think you'd see somre really nice mass to it.  Good luck with your decision (hopefully you'll get a chance to make it).
