Was out back with the Jim Brackenbury Drifter that I picked up in a trade this year. It's the first recurve that I've gotten in years and is marked 61# at 28" .It sure does like the old 2117 arrows that I had sitting around. Shoots them flat and hard. Time to sharpen up the screw in broadheads I guess...
The Drifter is a great bow. There are still plenty of them out there killing animals every season. I have several of them and love them, with two of them custom built for me by Jim, and some others built by Jim for other guys that I later purchased used. They are the bows I sometimes give to my wheelie friends who ought to be trad hunters, because they shoot so well and feel good from the start for those who have not shot trad bows much.
A Drifter is all anyone needs for hunting, 3D, or other similar shooting. The Drifter will flat kill animals and is one of the best bows of its era.

Yep, it is a great bow,I am the third owner I think. It sure shoots quieter than I expected. Glad I found the arrows that it likes.. :)
Awesome! Whats your draw? I ask b/c i have a bunch laying around and ive just started tuning them to my bow. Haven't shot aluminums in a while but was looking for heavier arrows.
I really like them
Right around 27" if my back, shoulders and neck are OK...
