Title: Arrow rest noise
Post by: GrayG on October 16, 2012, 09:26:00 AM
My leather arrow rest on my longbow makes a slight hissing sound when I draw.....not good when a deer is under you! What do you recommend to silence this noise?

change it out to calf hair. had the same issues with some leathers and especially beaver tail after awhile.

Wood shaft? If so steel wool your arrow also...smooth is more silent! Velcro is cheap and works well.

I will try to find some Locktight 495. Is there any other kind of leather treatment that will solve this problem without having to change my arrow rest?
