Title: VPA 175 pt BH
Post by: Jerry Bellmyer on October 15, 2012, 11:10:00 PM
My setup out of my 62" 55# (28 draw) 3 piece slammer seems to be 225 fp weight. 175 fp on a 50pt insert...How will the 175 VPA'a fly and how well on whitetails??  Thoughts appreciated.

If your arrows are tuned and fly true then the VPA's will work great for you. Even if you are a little out of tune the VPA's would be your best bet as they spin perfect everytime so they won't plane off as bad as a head not mounted straight. I have not had anything but positive results since I started using VPA heads a couple years ago. I have shot quite a few deer with the same head only having to touch it up barely after shooting it. So far everything I have shot with them has  been a pass thru as well.

I love the 3 blade vpa's. They fly great and are easy to sharpen... As long as your bow is well tuned and they are sharp there is no question those vpa heads will get the job done
