Finally got to put a tag on one with my " Ole no Name" bow.
Backed up into the corn this evening, parked my butt on my stool and at 7:05 she made her appearance at about 17 yrds, with perpetual motion, i drew, hit anchor and released sending a Howard Hill head dead center thru her heart, she ran 35 yrds and piled up.
Im thinking there was some divine intervention here cause im neither lucky or good, but ill take it anyway i can get it.
Ill post some pics tomorrow
congrats.
Good Stuff !!!
That sounds like just about the right way to hunt a cornfield to me. Sometimes we over think things when simple really does work pretty well.

Great shooting!
Congrats!
Nobody else hunts this spot because of the lack of trees suitable for treestands, just goes to show that being diverse in your tactics can pay off.
By the way guys WHAT A RUSH! to bust one on the ground, it was well worth all the times getting busted.
congrats on success!
Congrats, yes it is a rush being on the ground, good shooting.
Better than going to a wedding!

Heres the pics I promised, they didnt turn out real well for some reason. I would have posted them last nite, but our temps. here were near 70 deg. so i busting my hump to get her taken care of.
My set up was a 70" Hill style bow around 70 lbs, using Hill heads and douglas fir shafts, and a 6 dollar folding stool. (http://%20 [/IMG]

Congrats, nice deer.
I've always wanted to try hunting from a cornfield like that, but always seem to head for the treestands instead. Congratulations on an exciting hunt, and making the most out of your opportunities.
