What is your one pair of boots that you use when hunting the mountains, that you absolutely cannot live without?
Denali's.. by ...Meindl
Most comfotable boot I have worn to date, and Iv'e been through a few pair.
I use the same boot as Pat. On my second pair. But from what I've seen boots are like bows, one brand that fits me well may not fit you well.
So that's two votes for Meindl, anybody else care to weigh in?
Meindl perfekt hiker has been good so far. Two trips to Colorado for elk hunting.
I have had Meindls for 6 years now still perform great. They will go to MT with me this year
Asolo 520's for me!
Steve
I have the meindl canadian hunters. I have had them for 5 years and they still do not leak. I was a die hard american made danner wearer for years, not for durability but their boots fit me well. The meindls fit well and last. I would get a year of wear out of a portland made set of danners.
I wear these boots a lot chasing hogs with hounds in the mountains of TN. Much harsher abuse on boots climbing through the bluffs and laurel than a more arid open mountain climate would present. The meindls are not cheap, but you get a lot more boot for a little more money in my opinion than many of the other brands.
I have a pair of Meindl Denali, great boots, but the first pair I bought few years ago had some sole issues and they just came apart.Cabela's changed them for free though.
Asolo are outstanding as well.
Hanwags from lathrop and sons for me. Love em.
Danner Jackals in warm weather, Rocky Cornstalkers when it gets nippy...CO or MI.
Danner Canadian hunters for me
Danner Pronghorns
I need to find some place where I can try these different brands out, Sportsmans Warehouse has some Danner's but none of the Schnee's or Meind's to my knowledge.
I second Ausable. Love my Danner Pronghorns.
Meindl perfekt hunters for me. many good boots out there, these just happen to be the ones i chose and i am very happy with them.
Meindl perfekt hikers for me- worth every
penny
Zamberlan Tofane GT, hands down.
Expensive, but when you consider they are welted (can be resoled), and the comfort is second to none they become an investment rather than a disposable pair of boots.
Meindl,,,,hmm I have to check these out..
are lowas still known as good boots?
I'm partial to my USMC-issued Danner Rugged All Terrain (RAT) boots. Almost broke in right out of the box, and tough as nails.

Agree with most. Hard to beat meindl
