Anyone use these? Was wondering how a stove would work in a silnylon tent? Worry about fire? Are they any good? Thanks!!
Used one last year for two weeks in the backcountry. Mine was made out of tarpaulin material. Never used a stove but my buddy did in his which was ripstop material with no issues. Lightweight and easy setup. I have the three man and it was big enough for two guys and gear. I will be using it on my next trip in the mountains
The owner posts regularly on some of the other boards I frequent and generally doesn't seem like the kind of person I'd want to do business with. Both Kifaru and Seek Outside offer similar products and are fantastic companies to do business with. A certain about of common sense must be excercised when running stoves in silnylon tents. Best stoves going are here. www.edtsbackcountry.com (http://www.edtsbackcountry.com)
Agree completely... I'd stay away from Wyo Lost and Found. Kevin at Seekoutside is a great guy, and you're not pissing away money on anything from Kifaru either.
Also, agree on Et Tyanichs stoves. I'm sure I'll have a cylinder stove to replace my antique box stove soon.
Once you go a heated, floorless, tent you will never go back.
Biathlonman, care to share the other websites he frequents along with his username so I can check it for myself? I found them very helpful and a pleasure to do business with. I'm curious, because I have recommended them to several people. You can private message me if you like. Thanks!!!!
