Got this beauty from a natural ground blind on the Homochitto river last evening. It's a natural pinch point between the river and two swamps. 60@30 Big Jim Thunderchild with a 650 grain arrow tipped with a 250 grain Tusker broadhead. About an 8 yard quartering away shot. Deer ran about 30 yards, stopped to try and figure out what happened and died in sight. One of those wonderful evenings where everything falls into place and the difficulty of hunting with stick and string is rewarded with a feeling no other type of hunting can give you. Please have patience with me as I am not good at posting pics. (http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc447/swinestalker1/IMG_0523.jpg)

I'm a southern Mississippian like you, South of Natchez in southwest Mississippi. Most folks call me Travis, my middle name. I'm sure you represent your area with class and honor.
Great deer congrats!

Well, I am barely north of Lucedale, but way west. You must be in the southeast corner as opposed to me being in the southwest corner.
