I've been shooting an English longbow for a year and this is my first season hunting with it. She isn't big but I wasn't looking for the world record doe.

In my neck of the woods thats a big doe! I remember driving out of the Twin Cities years ago and seeing some horses in the snow down by a river and there was no farm nearby. As I got closer I realized they were does LOL! Great shot, great accomplishment. Can you tell me more about the bow. Were did you get it, how long is it, how many pounds, and if you dont mind telling me, what is your comfortable deer hunting range with it. Thanks Bruce

If you're from the Davison area stop in to Davison Office Products. My buddy Doug owns it(he's a member here) and has a fine collection of trad bows on display.
That's a good looking doe! Congratulations not only on the deer, but for using your cool longbow! :clapper:

Haha I've seen some huge ones too, they really get the blood pumping.
My bow is from rudder bows archery in Washington state, it's 72" long and 55# at 28". I'm comfortable shooting at no more than 20 yards. Target shooting ill play around at 30+ yds.

Other people may not find this true, but here in Michigan, if you use a longbow like this or a recurve, other hunter figure you can`t afford to buy a new crossbow!
Many happy returns...I`m thinking NOW your looking for a buck! :D :campfire:
