Title: My Bush NA Bag modification.
Post by: Scott357 on October 04, 2012, 02:26:00 PM
I bought the Bush NA Bag from Big Jim's last month. I didnt like shooting with the hood on. I couldnt feel my anchor point and was having a consistent 6" low and 6" right miss at 20 yards. Now if I use my old facemask that I have had for almost 20 years I hit to point of aim but ditching the 3D camo on the head almost defeats the purpose of the whole system. So here's what I did. I took my old Columibia wool boonie hat and I sewed the mesh bag/hood to the top of it. I cut some strips from an old camo shirt and tied them to the netting. Now it looks like a hat that the swamp thing would be proud to wear. I might take some jute twine and unravel it and tie it in there too. My Bush NA Bag still lives in a bag but its home is now a mesh laundry bag.
Scott.

Just wanted to say that the Bush-in-a-bag from Big Jim's has another "notch" in its belt.  2nd buck in 2 years using it.  The wind wasn't "right" for my ladderstand in the area I wanted to hunt so I just slipped it on, got the wind in my face, and found some cover.  He came slipping in just about dark and  I made a good shot (thank the LORD!).  The Bush NA Bag really does give you a lot of flexibility.  If you haven't ever tried ground hunting with one, you're missing a lot of fun and excitement! (search the thread on 9-13-12 for other modifications)
