Title: quick question
Post by: ks_jon on October 03, 2012, 03:35:00 PM
Just bought some new surewood shafts in 11/32. I have a 23/64 nock and point taper tool. Is it possible to use it or not a good idea?

It probably won't align correctly since its bigger than the shaft.

if it's the pencil sharpener kind, they are tough on fir. better to rig up a quick jig for some kind of sander set up.

YOu can wrap some 2" masking tape around the shaft to get it to fit in the tool.  Sanding/grinding tapers is a better way to go if you can, tho.
