How many days do you get out during a week to hunt? My schedule is a rotating 12 hour shift deal. I have 4 days one week and then 2 days the next. Of course that is if I can actually hunt all those days. Hard to do with family and such.
I have trouble keeping up with much more than 2 to 3 times each week hunting.

On a good week 4-ish. Thats 2 evenings and 2 full days.
When I was in my late teens and to my mid 20s it was about 5 to 7 days, now in my mid 40's with real life getting in the way about 3.
every morning and every evening....work in between...8^). cheers and good luck to all!!
One if I am lucky. I hope to change that next year.

I'm retired so hunt when I want. Don't get serious until near the rut, but then I hunt three weeks straight.
Retired in Aug. so now I get to hunt when I want.
I'll hunt about 3 -4 evenings this whole season If I'm lucky. Last year was zero days afield and the year before was 2 mornings and one evening.
At best, I get 2 sessions of a couple of hours. Not enough time I think, but job, wife, chores, etc...........
Retired but can't hunt on Sunday.
Same as The Whittler, Retired, but can't hunt on Sunday
About 3 every week and at least 2 weeks of vacation!! :goldtooth:
2 to 3 days a week until closer to the rut.
1 day, sometimes 2. I make the best of what I get.
As many as I want-I'm retired. I usually try to hunt when conditions are best for me, until the rut.
I'm happy if I get one day a week during bow season. Usually a Saturday or Sunday. Sometimes I sneak in an extra late afternoon hunt if I sneak out of work or "chores".
one or two times a week. Sometimes take vacation days to hunt in january or febuary.
I work shift work so I get a lot of time off during the week. I tend to just hunt the mornings and spend time with the family in the evenings now.
Wind dictates that
Two maybe three times a week if I don't sleep. I work nights.
The times I do hunt are only partial days...mornings/evenings.
4-6 sits per week.
Being retired means I can hunt whenever I want and my wife has no problem with that as long as she gets out on weekends and during the rut. I don't like to hunt in the rain as I have lost several blood trails...so the weather forecast has the most limiting impact on when I don't.
Usually 1 day (Sat.) a week. I'll try to take a weekday or two off later in the season.
One in a good week, two in a great week. Work interferes, and church and family functions come first. But it's all good!
Usually only one day a week, between work and finding hunting property it gets harder each year.
I work second shift with two week days off which will dictate when I get to hunt. Like getting off during the week as it is quieter normally. Sunday is no hunting here so it is spent with the wife and new grandson. Looking forward to the time when I can get him and his mother out in the woods again.
1 or 2 a week during season including vacation days. Wish it were a lot more but diving over a hour away to hunting land, working 8 to 6 makes, and 2 kids under 10 with active sports schedules makes it tough!
I try two days a week but usually averages to 1 day or less a week once I count weekends lost to family events, business trips, other....
I'm what I have heard described as a "weekend warrior"...Hunt on weekends because of other (work or family related) obligations.I may try and slip in an evening hunt occasionaly before time change. Sometimes though I will not hunt the weekend if a good opportunity arises to see my infant granddaughter :bigsmyl:
I only work 2 nights a week so I get 7 days to hunt...PR
No more than once weekly with the exception of the Ohio Traditional Deer Hunt. The kids, wife and house have to come first for me.
Saturday or Sunday for me until the rut and then I'll hunt all day Saturday and a 1/2 day Sunday.
7, I WORK FOR ME!
When I hunt elk, I pack in enough to stay in the backcountry for at least a week, sometimes more. I got no place better to be. :D
Mike
All of um.
Saturdays and a couple of evenings if I'm lucky.
I CAN hunt 6 days a week (no Sunday hunting in CT). I DO hunt at least 4 days, barring rain or wife's plans.
Today my plans got rained out. Be at it in the morning.
Like others befor I had a home and family i would go 7 days a week and twice on the weekends. Now being self employed I go 4-5 times per week.
I only get about 1 or 2 days. I would be able to hunt more during the week but my Uncle's farm is an hour away. By the time I get off work and get there it would be dark.
Well I'm back(been awhile.) As for the topic I hunt as many days as the wife will let me. Most times on my weekends off or if she will let me plan a hunt during one of my weeks off of vacation.
