Got in stand early without bumping any deer, had to loop around to walk down the sandy creek south of me and then cut thru timber to stand..
Heard a couple big somethings 40 or so yards east of me at daybreak, but too thick to see em.
Then about 7:30, deer started coming over the hill in hayfield north of me. 1st one was a doe , she peed and then looked back. HUH !! Too early for that isn't it?

She is grooming here, but had looked back already, slow on the camera trigger!

Cool pictures, Hopefully a good sign!!
Then I look along the timber to the north and there is a better buck coming around the corner 300 yds north., then 2 more all fairly equal 8 pts.
They disappear but soon come out about 200 yds from my hideoutwith another buck added. 2 of them scrap a lil,

and the other 2 meander down to me, ever closer.....

They go by at 4 yds from my perch, and I let em go, its early and there are bigger boys around to see a little later....

Kenny m..i hunt 3.5 miles west of Bible Grove where are you?
funny how they seem to grow an inch after you let em walk.
Neat pictures!
Looks to be a good morning visit. Whens the green light go off?
Thanks guys!
Scott, I'm 40 ish miles SW of Kirksville. Got a friend by Bible Grove, he finds some awesome sheds up there!!
Shawn, I suspect it will be around Halloween. I got plenty of vacation and the freezer isn't hurtin. :D
Tryin to not hunt any stand too much til the big boys come out in daylight. Don't want to get in close to the bedding area just yet.
Looks like an exciting morning.
Very nice pictures Kenny.
Over 20 deer just in the mourning.....incredible! Nice photos...... :notworthy: :notworthy:
Thanks guys, but I kinda need an upgrade on my camera. Does good in full light, but at deer time, not so much!!
Great pictures! :clapper:
Hey Kenny...she wasnt "grooming" but just making a little "part" in her hair for you to aim at. You got real polite deer down there Kenny. Very gracious of her.
Cool pics and stories this year and you just started. Wish I could travel to hunt..I'd try and be down there. Looks beautiful. Love those big Oak leaves.
Nice!
Wish I could see that many deer in a season!
Lookin good Kenny! Keeping us all excited. :bigsmyl:
Neat morning!
Nice hunt, Kenny!
Randy, these does are anything but polite!! They are just lookin for any reason to blow your cover!!
David, this wasn't on the lease, don't want to bother it much, or anywhere else for that matter. Like to keep a low profile so they don't know the boogie man is about!
:bigsmyl:
Its rough, but I gotta not hunt any spot too much....
 :archer2:
Lots of fun Kenny good luck
man... you sure have a nice spot there Kenny!!
Heck I haven't even bought a tag yet!!!
Thanks guys!!
Brad, better get that tag, 32* this weekend!
Deer here are lovin picked corn and acorns right now!
Kenny if you shoot those does they can't blow your cover. Dead does tell no tales.
I know Dave, Momma say no room in freezer, guess I better find a recipient for some.... :D
I have a degree in doe management... I'm just saying.
Looks like you're in for an exciting season Kenny. Good luck and keep the pictures coming!
-Jay
Thanks for sharing, good luck on a big boy!
Me too Dave, if you can consistently kill does ,and especially the lead does, bucks suddenly get easier. At least for whitetails, you just gotta be patient and not blow all of em out before the big ones start movin in daylight.....
Thanks guys, gonna be cold next weekend, I'll be back out a time or 2! :D
