I hunt in hardwood forrests with scattered pines throughout. I only deer hunt later in the season when it gets cooler here in Arkansas so that I can hang my deer. I'll also wear it while hiking, fishing, and around town. Orange is my favorite color but I'm not sure if that would be the best wool to get for hunting. Which pattern would you go with?

I'd go with the Evening Stand Brown. All three pictures look good, but I like this one the best. Good luck with your season!

Little Delta Plaid
I have one in evening stand brown, and like it a lot. That little delta plaid is real nice, too. I like all three, but tthe last one seems a better fit for a partially snow-covered landscape.
I also have an evening stand and really like it.
ESB
I'd be asking which one the womens like best..the deer won't know the difference.
I got several of them and the LDP does blend good with fall and winter woods.
Depends on how much of the understory or canopy are dark. Around here we have lots of fir trees at all levels so I went with esb. Though I like the ldp as well. If I was going to be in a teestand the most during late season the lighter ssb would look good against an open sky bare branch background.
Maineac hit it on the head. The SSB would be perfect with the sky and branches as your background. Either the ESB or LDP would be the choice with darker backgrounds. So you really need to order at least two to give yourself some options
Evening Stand for sure more contrast
I hunt in the Silent Stalker and the Evening Stand Brown.have shot deer at very close range wearing both on the ground in natural blind situations.I think movement has more to do with getting caught than color. Will have a Little Delta Plaid soon.
You can't go wrong with any of them. I have a Silent Stalker Green and the Evening Stand Brown. I think your SSB and ESB would be better all around choices with the ESB the best choice. I have a vest AND a GFA quiver with the ESB wool. I really like them.
looks good to me

Does Teresa still have the Sumac color? I think it would be perfect for you. One on the left.

In deer vision they'll all work fine

She does not. My two favorites are the Little Delta and Evening Shade. I also really like the dark brown, tan, and olive buffalo plaid by Classic Bowman but just can't swing that much cash for a jacket.

Here is my Silent Stalker Green Zip Up with a Cedar Swamp Plaid Vest over it, in black & white.
I had a doe look right at me while wearing the evening stand green in a treestand and go back to what she was doing. No head bobbing or anything on her part.
I think all three would be very effective, but like the Little Delta the best. That's stricly a personal preference as I really don't think the deer would recognize a difference.
Nice
ESB and Little Delta are both great, but I like the Little Delta the best. I have both.
Evening Stand Brown, same terrain I hunt Pines, Oaks, poplars, maples this pattern really blends in! I have been really close to deer this year only been made once so far! I also like the Cedar Swamp Plaid that may be my next purchase!
ESB is my favorite and was proven in the field this year. Has perfect contrasting tones. The SSG is my second favorite.
Any of the patterns will work well for you. I have several and they all work great. I just got one of Teresa's Silent Stalker Green zip ups from Roger and had a mature doe and a spike buck 15 feet from me yesterday morning. I didn't move and they never knew I was there.
I have ESB and it works great in hardwood drains, the hardwood/pine fringes and the pine woods. I also have the solid brown and the solid grey hunting shirts, they also work in the same areas. They are quiet and they are warm, with a little thought on your part about background, I don't think the pattern matters.
Does anyone know if the zip up jackets have pockets?
Thanks
They have pockets

Yes they do. Nice deep pockets that nothing will fall out of.
Any one have any suggestions for a pattern that would work in the fir/hemlock forests of the pacific north west?
