Title: Bummer
Post by: D. Key on September 25, 2012, 11:02:00 AM
Our Deer season opens this Saturday and I am stuck in the hospital with Pancreatitus/Gall Bladder inflamation.  What a bummer.  Docs don't know why this happened but have conducted tests and should know the results today.  Hopefully I will be in my tree stand Sat. morning and not laying in a hospital recovery bed after gall bladder surgery.

I've got deer to hunt!!!

I hope everything goes well for you Doug, and you end up in that tree Sat morning!

Looks like I too may not be out there for the opener this weekend as there is a small family crisis on my end too.

Bwest wishes for a full and complete recovery,

Bisch

Doug,

Hope you're better soon.  I had the same thing a few years ago - had never been hospitalized in my life before. That was in winter, I ended up having the surgery in October that year, which did curtail my season after one doe.

Either one is bad. Concentrate on a full recovery first!

Doug,

There's a guy I go to church with who's been fighting with pancreatitus for a couple of years. Had his third surgery last week.  Nip it in the bud !!!

Hopefully you get to hunt opening day and hope the results are good..I have to wait hopefully another 4weeks to get out due to a knee replacement..already miss 3 years due to operations from a work injury and hopefully I can get out for the last part of the season

Well....I'm scheduled for gall bladder surgery tomorrow.  I'll miss opening week (at least) but there will be plenty of time after it heals.  Hope this takes care of this nagging knot in my stomach.

Here I am, out of surgery and feeling 100% better. Doc said I only need about a week of recovery and can then do whatever my body will allow me to do.

Thank God for modern medicine.
