Title: selway quiver
Post by: B-DOG on August 11, 2007, 12:18:00 PM
i recently installed a selway slide on quiver on my tomahawk longbow. shot it for a while but took it off because of the weight. are there any other quivers that are lighter. i know some are advertised as lighter but can you tell much differance. i thought about the eagle's flightbut would consider any others. i shot compounds with a quiver on and always liked the convenience of them.

I always shot Selway's until I discovered the EFA.  Night and day difference, I highly recommend the EFA Mini.

The strap-on Thunderhorn plastic boa is much lighter...and only $39...

What is EFA? Who makes them? Website? I am looking for a strap-on type quiver for my longbow. I am kind of concerned that they won't hold in place....?

I have a Selway Slide-on on my 62" Vortex and on my 62" Turkey creek I have a Thunderhorn plastic Boa. I had them reversed but considering  the different weights of the bows they just feel better this way.I would consider an EaglesFlight mini on the Turkey Creek though because the bow is so light in the hand.

Thanks bentpole. I looked at them. I sure like the looks of the Thunderhorn better though. Does the Boa strap-on stay put or do you have to continually mess with it on the limbs?

The Mini-3 (or mini-4) from 3Rivers do the job on my Border longbow.  Very light and good value for money. I use a single strip of bicycle inner tube wrapped around the limbs as anchor points for the rubber grips on the quiver.  Rock Solid.  Rgds
