Archie, whats the limb veneers?
The veneers on my PL are spalted sycamore. The nose, on the back side, is cocobolo; it is a slight variation from the norm, with no red.

Ryan, I forgot how good that bow looked. I like that Woodland Camo a lot. Nice pictures, too!
All the BW PL bows are beautiful.
Here's mine. Black Widow PLX, Cross grain greybark, 64" 50# @ 28" Take Down. It is a very good bow. Just joined and found this thread... sorry for the very late reply.

They are fantastic bows! I've yet to see a combination of wood that I didn't like.

That's a sharp-looking bow! I like the look of the leather grip, too. The whole bow has a unique look to it.
Thanks Archie! I love how it seems to blend in to most backgrounds. Hopefully it put its first deer in the freezer this fall!
P.S. The spalted sycamore in your PLX is very unique! I don't think I've ever seen one like it, very cool!
Cheers

I had to start somewhere and I'm VERY happy with it!
BarrBow I like the leather grip and the pics. I am going to have to put one on mine its got to be better than the shurs a grip that comes with them.
Goingoldskool, I wouldn't call it plain autumn oak, I love the PL III, it was a toss up between it and gray bark for me. Great looking bow!
Jack Rehacek, Thanks very much! I like the leather grip MUCH better. I got rid of the suregrip about 30 shots after I got the bow. It caused a blister on my hand right away. I really like the beaver tail grip, but I prefer a smooth brown leather grip, so I just used 4oz veg tan and dyed it.
Cheers,
Barr
Barr,
I say plain, cause compared to some of the beautiful woods out there.... I reckon that I should have looked at some of them before ordering mine... Like I said, I had to start somewhere! It's my first trad bow and I do love it!
Thanks,
Rodd
