How do weight tubes affect arrow flight in carbons? Do I need them to get the arrow heavy enough to shoot safely? I want to try them but that's a lot of money to play with. I kinda want to cut my learning curve. I have some CX 150's and they are really light?
Here is my input/opinion... They will add weight, but will not change spine very much at all if any. And having said that,if you plan to shoot those 150s out of the bows in your signature line,I really think our going to be underspined. Those are a .487 spine. I would bet your bows would need a .400 spine,or a .340 with .250-.300 up frt.
I tried it on some 55/75 Trads side by side with matching unweighted and got totally different flight out of 63# long bow. While shooting both out of black widow recurve got similar fight quality. I guess that is just a long winded way of saying just try it and see what you get it's a cheap experiment.
