Title: How to know the manufacture date on a newer bear bow ?

I just bought a used Bear supermag with the numbers SM-02-258, I'm kinda curious as to the year, Hoping it's a newer one & Bear has the bugs worked out of it as I have been reading there are limb breakage concerns with these newer supermags.

It was the 258th one made in 2002.

Dang, I was hoping for the 258th one of 2012, thinking  maybe the bugs were worked out of them !  I guess now I have to think positive & convince myself that it's been around since 2002, maybe it's one of the good ones !

I guess I should of known that's what the 02 stood for     :knothead:    I see your from Gainesville FL. Do you work for Bear ?
