For the wool-addicts out there, do any of you perform any kind of Lanolin Treatment to your woolens? If so, can you give details on the process/frequency?

In my case I'm not dealing with anything ultra-high end. I am mainly thinking about lightly treating Asbell wool, some thrift store Merino's/Cashmere, and Woolrich pants.
I dont do any treatment to mine.
hey scott ya don't have to put anything on it as real wool has lanolin in it already :biglaugh:
I'd be curious as well. Maybe some sort of lanolin spray? I'm sure the natural lanolin will disappear after washing the garment a few times. One thing I've learned is not to dry clean the wool.
I use a product when it comes time to wash my wool called Eucalan. It's available unscented and contains lanolin in it. I hand wash my woolens and this stuff doesn't require a rinse to clean wool. It makes the wool seem a little softer and you can feel the lanolin on your hands when you wash your stuff. It's pretty concentrated. You just soak your stuff in it, swish it around a little and then drain the water out.
Thanks, in my case I often find myself in the rain and was hoping to better water-proof some of the older wool. Also, you never know what the history is with thrift store wool, and many times may have been washed/dry-cleaned frequently.
