Title: Made me a new 3 D target...
Post by: Margly on September 15, 2012, 11:48:00 AM
Hi Tradgangers!
I have been thinking about making med a new type of animal target and got this idea:

I did draw a fox on a plywood board, and cut a hole where I would use etafoam.

This target is thought used with broadheads, and its very simple to change the foam, when it is broken down from my broadheads.

The trick is of course to hit in the "engine room" if not you will hit wood. The plywood wil not damage the arrows, so I think this was good idea. I`ve painted it with water resistant paint and will screw in sticks on the legs for safe location in the ground.

The foam is fastened with perforated strip on the back side so the foam will not  be punched of by the arrow hit.

Next up is a roe deer, a whitetail, wolverine, bob cat and a moose..
Guess I`ll make my on zoo  :bigsmyl:

Here is an Owl target I made by cutting up an old shot out section of a McKenzie Cougar.I have made several different targets using the old shot up sections of other targets.

Gives me an idea of what to do with the hindquarters of my shot up hog target.  Thanks for the ideas.     :clapper:
