Title: Seeking String Information Silvertip Recurve
Post by: Adam S. Daugherty on September 13, 2012, 12:47:00 PM
Folks,

I havent bought a new string in a while and it looks like the options of materials have surely went exponential in the last few years.  Looking to get a few new back up strings headed my way.  I currently shoot a 56 lb 62 inch FF comp Silvertip take down recurve with 400 easton axis arrows 3 4 inch parbolic feathers and 170-175 woodsman broadheads, use a cordovan tab. String that is on bow is just regular FF that comes with bow from Windaeur.  Got several strings from him when ordered bow.  Well it is time to replace.  What out there is "better" than regular FF string.  I dont want anything that has stretch feel like B-50 Dacron.  Quietness is also important, at least as quiet as original FF.

Thanks in Advance

Silent But Deadly strings with wool puffs and end wraps. He is a sponser here and the strings are great, all I use on my ff Silvertip and other ff bows, I believe he uses D10 material and pads the loops. It is much quieter that original ff material in my opinion. Oliverstacy also is a sponser and makes great strings also, another sponser Lefties r us makes strings, I can speak about their B50 strings as that is what I use on my non ff Silvertips.

Danny,

Couldnt find Silent But Deadly on the sponsor or associate sponser listing.  I at work location now do you happen to know the length of string needed for 62 inch ST recurve.  Going to try and place order today.

Danny, your 62" Silvertip should take a 58 1/2" string. Let us know if we can help.

I can usually get an order filled within a day or two.
