Me too, red is my fire sign... :bigsmyl:
Nice!
I wish more bowyers would offer a wider variety of glass colors. More yellow and red would be nice for me.
Very Well Done!
Ron, excellent looking bow! Good on ya man, sweet looking Red Wolf there!
Bob.
Very Nice
Nice looking Stick Ron.
Hows she shoot for ya??

The problem with getting more glass colors as I see it is two-fold. Most guys still want to see lots of highly figured wood so prefer clear glass. But beyond that, colored glass is not easy to come by now. Traditional archery is still a very small portion of the archery market--extremely small in fact even though there are quite a few of us. Gordon doesn't produce the variety they used to due to market demand or lack thereof. Steve Turay and Jerry Brum wanted to offer green glass to customers, but they had to buy a full production run of the glass before Gordon would make any--that set them back $10,000!!!! They split the cost....they call the glass Great Northern Mist green. If you want it you have to order a bow from one or the other of them (I did and love my green glass NM Shelton), and I sure don't blame them for that. They have to get some return on that sort of investment. As an old timer I still love the look of colored glass, black, brown, gray, green...and hey, Ron's red bow is gorgeous, but I believe most of the colored gloass bows still go to us "mature" guys. :D
Ron, do you feel like 53# at your draw is about perfect now after all the years with heavy bows?
Also how doe's Red Wolf shoot comparied to all the longbows you have shot in the past? Thanks, Ken
Hey, you said that was going to be a right hand prototype that was coming to camp for field testing next month!

You could split wood with the wedge grip

The limb tips are so slim you could spear a carp with it.

The Red Wolf. An amazing animal that was maliciously hunted down and persecuted due to human ignorance and miss understanding, but has now be bred back to where there are about 50 or so living wild again in north Carolina if my memory is correct. Outstanding choice of a bow name, because it too looks beautiful, sleek and deadly. It too is also very rare.
