If a bow is tillered for split finger but you shoot three under how high should the nocking point be?
Thanks,
Greg
I have settled on 5/8" as my go to.
Personally, I would set the nock at 1" above center and shoot bareshafts knowing that the nock will be high. Move the nock down about 1/8th" at a time until you're bareshafts are flying just a little nock high. Like Bear Heart, most of mine end up at 5/8ths to 3/4". To me it's just faster to set it really high initially and work down, otherwise you risk getting a false high read if you bounce it off the shelf.
Set it to high to start with, I use abotu 7/8, and then let the bow tell you where it should be. The arrow won't lie. Every bow will be different. When I used to shoot three under it varied but somewhere arouns 3/8 to 5/8 depending on the bow. These bows were all tillered for split.
5/8" for me

Perfect advise NBK!
At the point where you get the best arrow flight. Don't rely on someone else's results.
What NBK said! Maybe even higher starting point.
I start at whatever the manufacturer of the bow recommends and then go up or down depending on how my bare shafts group. I shoot split fingered and usually end up somewhere around 1/2" to 5/8".
Thanks gang for all the info.
