At first look I thought it was a bobcat, then I saw the tail was too long so I thought coyote, and then I saw the tail is as long at the body. So now I think it's a mountain lion. We do have a few around but this would be my first pic of one.
It looks like a mountain lion to me.
looks like a fox to me
Looks like a fox to me, too.....mid bound
The tail isn't all that long
Looks like a UFO under the tree branch...
I saw the ufo too but i believe the animal
Is a fox

I just seen that.
And it may be a fox, I need not think about that.

If you zoom in on it the tail is as long as the animal. There's a clump of grass about 2/3 down the tail and then you can see the tip of the tail after the clump of grass.
Looks like Big Foot to me
I think it looks like a fox or a yote, but seriously what is below the tree branch?
Now that would be something, a mountain lion on trail camera in kansas, with a ufo above his head. What are the odds? lol
A fox running from a UFO
Small head, looks to be a fox. Lions don't have fuzzy tails. We have more than our share here in Nv.
A fox that was just beamed down from the UFO?! Heck, I can't see anything in the picture. :)
Im going to vote Fox.
It looks canine to me too.I think some of what you see as tail, may not be part of the animal.I can tell you this, having lived in lion country for 22 years, they really don't like traveling in the open. Not saying it could never happen but they really like to stay in or on the edge of cover.
I have seen where lions will even hug the edge of cover around a 30' meadow.Often, they will skirt the same side of the meadow every time through.
Thanks guys! I zoomed in the pic so see if it helps-

The body length is the red line and the yellow is the tail-

House cat or fox. Bushy tail and small. Lion cubs are short and stocky and spotted. Too small for an adult lion. We might have one or too mt lions in this state.
the ufo dropped an alian disguised as a fox or mountain lion with a mission to gain intell on the human race.
It might be a fox chasing a UFO or a Jackalope.
Honestly, it just looks like shadows or a slight depression in the grass to me. Maybe the quality sucks on my end though. Do you have any other pics of it moving or the same dark shape on a different night?
How far out would you say that is? To me it looks to long between the front of its chest and back of its leg to be K9. Plus, the tail looks too long. My first thought was lion.
Chupacabra.... definitely a chupacabra.
My vote is fox and cloud formation :saywhat:

It looks like a fox to me.
Jon, I'm pretty sure it's Tim looking for an arrow.
a fox on the ground and a MIRAGEIII for sure in the sky
I think it is a fox. I lighten the picture some.

It appears to be a Coyote, but must admit it is hard to tell.
I downloaded the pic high lighted it and zoomed in and it's a running grey fox. There's a big light patch on the throat and under the chin and the tail flare's out.The head also says grey fox Sorry!
Tracy
Im with Tracy its a grey fox
Mike
It's an illusion, caused by the doppler effect creating ground clutter in the shape of a fox.
UFO huntin' coyote? :) ) Looks like coyote to me but could be a fox.
SUNRISE ? SUNSET ?
If you got some photo editing software try lighting up or change contrast to see if you get a better view of the img.
It is a grey fox.
Yup, grey fox
Bigfoot just got dropped off by a UFO.
You mean the UFO or the bobcat? There has to be a safer spot to hunt than that! I would rather hunt by a bobcat than a UFO-LOL!
a small grey and the mothership,...hmmmm!
I must be blind!!!!!
Grey fox. Looks just like the one I've had living down the back side of my property for the past 2 years!
It's a grey fox, and the "ufo" is a cloud.
Feral Cat???? Sometimes they look big when they are alone.
I see th UFO nothing else.... :dunno:
red fox
I see th UFO nothing else.... :dunno:
fox
Looks like a fox to me

I cleaned up the pic some for you. it is definitely feline. it seems to have a long tail for sure, but I think Mt. Lions tails are about the length of their bodies, this does not appear that long. Although, Fox could be a contender, just the tail looked too thin for fox. maybe the new pic will help
Oh, and overall body size seemed too small for cougar.
Looks like a yote to me with the way he is holding his head
That head up made me think yote right off the bat, but I'm the pic the head seems rounded? Maybe angle. I do see te prancing in that pic that fox and yotes do
definitly not a cat...I'd say fox or yote for sure the way the tail comes off the rear end and the body shape is more dog like.
I can't tell even after downloading the photo, looking at it one way it looks like dog but my first impression of the head is cat. I can't tell what the size is as mentioned because i have no idea how tall the grass is or anything else to use to size it up. I've seen yearling cats that were only 40 or 50lbs as well as 20lb cubs and 200+lb toms. I'm no expert but I have seen about two dozen cats in the wild and the head shape fits, unless it's looking directly at the camera. What I'm seeing is it's looking past the camera to the right. I also can't tell about the tail being too fuzzy because the whole pic is fuzzy but then again it could be my eyes.
Thanks guys! :notworthy: I everytime I look at it I see a Mt. Lion. I got a pic of a coyote the same day, but the coyote was about 20 yards closer. Here is the coyote pic-

Here is the questionable pic with zoomed in, lightened up, and I traced it with red-

Let me know what you guys think :campfire:
It looks like a mountain lion to me. The head's shape is a perfect match. It is hard to determine it's size though as there is not anything that gives it scale in the picture.
The cleaned up pic without the red line looks like a yote or a fox. With the red outline it seems to lose some of the bushiness in the tail though certainly resembles a cougar.
I say most likely a canid with possibility of a feline.
does apear to be a cat and twice the size of the coyote wich is closer.
I'm going with coyote. You see any roadrunners around the area?
I have seen 3 Florida panthers, the pic is fuzzy but it looks couger like to me.
I don't know what it is, but back to the UFO do you think is spooked what ever it was?
UFO and a fox is what I'm thinking
I don't know Jon....still looks like a giant mountain lion to me! You'd better pass on that area until I get there in November! :jumper:
That's clearly a sky shark.
The missing link? Wampus cat?/
That is a gray fox. Gray back, red skirt, white under chin, and fluffy tail. I put a magnifying glass to it.
That's a cat. No reference for it's size though.
Definitely cat.....
Ears look rounded to me.I say mountain lion.
I guess cat. Never seen one, but I don't see a long snout on it like a yote.
I am with the big cat folks. Body is much longer than the coyote with the distance comparison.
Coyote
One vote for cougar here.
