First time I put a new string on my Bear Kodiak, serving was getting really bad. It's an endless loop. Set my nock 1/2 above 90, These are my results at approx 15 yds. I still want to shoot this #46 Bow and keep working on good form. Even though I have a #56.
There is some bow noise (no silencers) yet, arrows seem to fly strait. What is my next step ? Brace height is 8 1/2 does that sound about right.

have you shot the bow with bare shafts yet?
If you are going to hunt with this bow, should you not set it up as you are going to hunt it? (ie. string silencers, quiver, etc?)
Sounds to me like you are in the ballpark with the brace height and the nock point. Most of the time I end up with my nock 1/2"-5/8" above center. If your arrows seem to be flying pretty good, I would add string silencers (hush puppies would be my choice) then play with the brace height up and down until I found the sweetest spot. After you have silencers installed and the brace height where you like it you can bareshaft. IMO you are wasting your time with the bareshafting until you add the silencers. Any changes you make with your string (silencers, string material, etc.) can/will have an affect on bareshafting.
No I haven't shot the bow with bare shafts. I have a #56 bow I'll probably hunt with it, I'd like to continue working on my form with the lighter weight Bear. I have to get some Carbon Express Heritage shafts for the #56. I might though one never knows good Fall (turkey bow). String silencers will fit the bill as a prefer no quiver attached to the bow.

Endless string is definately the way to go on the old Bears. Made a huge difference on mine.

eagle24 my brace height is at 8 1/2 I cannot lower it anymore. The string is brand new and has no twists in it.
Is a 8 1/2 brace height unusual for a Kodiak ? 60" bow 56" string.
