Whats happening to me? is it age creeping up on me, is it sickness, contentment?
Being one who loves to buy, swap and trade, I find myself looking at the classifieds, and finding nothing that tickles my fancy more than the bows ive got, and believe me, theres some great bows out there.
Maybe with age im finding that contentment with what i have, good shooting, and being a good hunter with good ethics, is far more important than a multitude of bows.
Im not sure what it is, but I think ive found the cure for the " gotta have them all" addiction, now i just have to figure out what it is. :biglaugh:
That's funny. Ones benefit to me being a "one bow at a time" Guy I guess
purchase saw griffin, The same thing will happen.
Smooth, shock free ,consistency,
Contentment !
One bow,One shot, One deer to a time !

Happiness is not getting what you want. It's wanting what you got.
After I've tried EVERYONE out there, I'll know which one I want. :banghead: .......... maybe.............
So how many bows does it take to reach that level of contentment? Keep wanting to try another and another and.....
jmrsyrs, in my case it was just the one more that i didnt have before, which by the way ive lost count of a long time ago.
I think for me it was settling on a style, then narrowing it down from there.
Nothing wrong with playing the field, but in my case i think ive found out that all trad. bows perform very well, but what makes the difference for me, is the dedication and determination to make every shot better than the one previous, from the bow ive now got, and not the one id like to have.
As Medley stated previous, for me theres benefit to being a "one bow at a time" guy.
As a side note, most generally any shooting problems ive encountered, were not that of the bow, but in fact my poor form, follow thru, ETC.
so buying or trading into a new bow was not resolving my poor shooting habits, but merely adding to the problem because all bows feel and perform a little bit different.
In my case, ive found that the bow, being properly set up is a constant, the only variable is myself, and now that ive cleaned up my end, the variable is a whole lot less.
I guess thats where the contentment comes from.

I'm happy with my acs now I'm like you search the classifieds ,but don't see anything I really need.
kinda the same with me... i'm also getting a little older each year it seems, but i have bought and sold enough bows to find there is no magic bow and i think i have finally found the bows that suit me best, I still window shop the classifieds but thats kinda it. Kinda like the last time i was in Cabelas i walked around for a hour and left empty handed, just didnt see anything i needed or really wanted..
Don't let that disease spread.....I am still having fun playing!!
I never found a bow that the grip really fit my hand.
I admired the guys who can pick up any style and shoot well... me? I'd struggle for consistency with every bow, every shot. Never could get it to sit the same in my goofy paw...gave up trying bows cause it never improved.
Found Kirk at Bigfoot and he asked a LOT of questions. He wanted pictures & videos.
Built me a bow that fits me to a "T" and shoots where I look.
Don't need more than one bow that fits ME. I'm not planning on selling it and it might go to my grave with me...who else could actually USE a custom built grip bow, eh?
Sure wish I'd have done it a long, long time ago! To me, perfect bow is a perfect fit to my hand/grip/style. I could have saved a lot of fuss...
Ahhhh...peace and satisfaction. :)
What ?
No magic bow ?
Say it isn't so ! I have been looking & buying for a while now trying to find that magic bow Lol
