Went this evening and sit in a tangle of vines in the edge of a cornfield and killed my first coyote. There had been a squirrel running back and forth between the timber line where I was sitting and the corn all evening. He'd made his last crossing about 30 minutes before when all of a sudden this coyote comes out of the corn and into the road with his nose down where the squirrel had been. He didn't last long after that. Soon as he got in the open I hit him with a big 220gr Ace launched from my 65# Bamboo Viper. First coyote for me with any weapon, all the better it was taken with my longbow.

I can tell you where to find him. Should have had a collar on him and man, give your mutts a bath.
good'un!
That's cool! A yote with a trad bow is something. I want one so I can get a bust mount to at the other end of the table from my bobcat bust mount.
Congrats!

Wow that was a darkest colored yote I have ever seen. I thought for sure that the post was going to be from Australia. Good shot kill a few more help the fawns and other small game.

great shot by the look of it hopefully mine turns out that good
Congrats!
Congrats! I've never seen that coloration before.
We call those Coy Dogs. There are some around here that have mated with wild dogs. I shot one years ago that looked like a hyena. That one looks like a yote beagle mix. Haha.
Nice shooting!
Thanks guys. I was hunting during our rifle season here a few years back and seen on that was nearly jet black. Much darker than this one. I passed on him not wanting to shoot the canon I was packing. Wish I hadn't now.
You fellers are going to kill me though, no mounting or tanning of that thing. I can smell that thing in the house here from last night and it about makes me sick how bad that thing smelled. I disposed of him as quick as possible. The pics are just going to have to stand as proof for me.
That is a dark one. Nice shot.
Nicely done!
Good job! One least coyote to harass the deer herd. Looks like a great shot!
Good shot!
Congrats!!

Way to go Jeff! Now just wondering how you gonna cook him? No seriously, that is on my to do bucket list, with a trad bow.
Congrats Love to see the yotes get the shaft!
Nice shot!
I've seen one that was almost jet black.
Hey way to go Jeff. I've shot with ya before and I didn't think you could hit a yote. lolol Goodness I'm just kidding. That sure is a pretty one.
I saw a Whitetail doe that had alot of black just on top of her back like your coyote. Congratulations
 Nice shooting!
