The two reasons I most love this forum.
I had a chance to meet one of the sponsors for the first time. I had some cosmetic problems with a used bow I bought from another Trad Ganger. One of our sponsors, John Rafferty of Bow Hospital fame did some reconstructive surgery on it, filling a couple of voids and adding tip overlays on the belly side. Rather than have John mail it, I drove over to his place and picked it up. Gave me chance to see some of the beautiful works in progress and chat a bit. A very personable guy whose work is absolutely flawless.

I also received a package from another sponsor. I drove out to Iowa when I ordered my first custom bow (a Lost Creek Judge). Chad Francis turned out to be another great guy who spent 2 days with me in his shop without losing his patience. I sold a Life Ender earlier because I thought I was abusing it's short length with my 29.5" draw. Missed that pocket rocket something terrible. Chad said he would build me another Life Ender. He said it would be a surprise and I would like it.
Well, I picked it up today from the PO. Definitely something a bit different and yes, I'm thrilled with it. The whole bow is zebra wood (well, and some clear glass and black phenolic:-)
Check this one out guys!

We are really blessed to have sponsors like these two and I'm most appreciative of their high class work.
Thank you John and Chad.
Good looking Judge buddy....Zebrawood? looks great! rat'
No, my Judge is a walnut & maple bow. This new one is a shorter Life Ender. Haven't had a chance to put an arrow through it yet, but if it's as quick as my earlier Life Ender, it will be as fast as it is beautiful. Vital statistics are 60" 48# @ 28".
I really like zebra wood, good looking bow!
Forgot to include the limb tip overlays that John Rafferty did in the original post. Omission corrected.
Ron I hope your knee is feeling better and get out and shoot that thing your going to love it. Lets see a pic of the "Judge" its a keeper also. Chad
Two thumbs up for two great guys.

Wow, awesome bow.
Hi Chad, I love it already without even shooting it. I've been drawing it and WANTING to shoot it. Here's a couple side-by-sides:

and this pic is of the walk going up to my shop, which is the only place I can shoot at home since the neighbor shut down my backyard shooting. Anyone who has had knee surgery will tell you uphill is easier than down hill. I can pull myself up to the shop, but have to call 911 for my wife to come help me back down. Think I will have to replace that loose, stretchy rope with some 2x4.

Just a quick update on my new Lost Creek. It's a looker; no question, but man is it ever a shooter too. I only have 7 yards in my shop, so I can't say "it hits right where I look at 20 yards". I will say it didn't disappoint me for accuracy (I mean how far off can you be at 6 - 7 yards?) and I want to tell you that arrow leaves the string and arrives at the bag just about simultaneously.
OMG is that thing fast, Chad! Thanks.
Glad your liking your new bows Ron ,and thanks for building me a beautiful great knife. I will post pics of the knife later today. Chad
Thanks for the kind words Ron. Glad the overlays will work out for you. It was also nice meeting you and we will have to get me a knife in the works. My wife new who you were by the dog in the your avatar.Keep in touch, John
I look THAT much like my dog?
Well, I guess he is pretty handsome at that. Oh wait a minute. Bet she saw Curly in the car out front :)
