Just purchased the new crown jewel of my small collection...a 59# Mahaska custom recurve, cocobolo riser, cedar limbs. Purchased second hand at about half of what they go for new, I got lucky. Supposed to be in excellent condition, will post pics when I get it, from the pics I saw it sure looks purdy. From what I gather supposed to be a pretty darn good bow. Anyone else on here shoot one of these bows?
i was on the phone with this guy today about a possiblity for my first truly custom bow. he seemed really nice and was more then willing to help me out with the planning even though he could not make the bow i was looking to get
Ken at mahaska is a great guy, his prices are wonderful, and they are shooters.
Nineworlds, I'm not left handed and almost bought that bow!!! To say you got a steal is an understatement. You will love it. But I thought it was a The Longbow , not a recurve.
Can't say enough good things about Ken and his bows! You will not be disappointed!
We need PICS !
Agreed, he is a great dude and an awesome craftsman. I own one and have shot 2 others.
I had a Mahaska LB. wish I never sold it...
Awesome to hear guys, it has not arrived yet, but pics will definitely be posted. I'm excited. I have around a 30 inch draw and if this Mahaska is as sweet as I'm hoping it will be, my Super Grizzly (58"/50#) will be history.
My draw lenght on a traditional is less than 30 I just realized, it's more like 27-28 on a non-wheelie, so the new Mahaska should do me right.
I have a Mahaska LB and love it. Just got back from a 3D shot with it. Had a blast and didn't shoot to bad either.
Awesome, this is making me feel very good about the purchase so far. Can't wait to let some fly when it arrives.
