Heading to CO to hunt area 6 in the Colorado State Forest out of Gould. Leaving MI on the 12th and should be hunting by the 14th, maybe 13th. Will be going into the areas where only foot, hoof and bike traffic is allowed. Would like to hear from anyone in this area what the Elk are doing along with weather reports.
Not hunting unit 6 but the next unit but south of you in unit 18. In there the elk are already bugling and herding up with cows. We are supposed to have a couple of cold fronts to move into the state starting on Tuesday Sept. 4 evening so everything should go crazy for sure then.
