Title: Dalaa Brace Height
Post by: rlc1959 on September 01, 2012, 11:40:00 AM
Bought some pieces here on Trad Gang. Checking to see recommended brace heights. I put the string on that came with my package and got 8" . This is a little more than I set my Long Bows at.
I have a Dalaa 17" riser and 3 Rivers Better limbs (foam) longs to make a 62" bow.

Thanks, Randy

I just got te 17" riser with foam core limbs for a 60" bow.  The book says 73/4-81/4"

The instructions say 7" to 7 3/4" for longbow limbs.

Book says 7.5 to 8.5 I think for recurves.

I think that it is a personal thing.  When I had Dalaas around 8" was good for me.

Longbow limbs have a lower bh recommendation than the recurve tradlongbow set you right with the manual.  Mine liked 7 1/2 with the longbow limbs.

Thanks guys. I have the recurve limbs. 8" seems fine after a couple times shooting. One week from MN Elk Trip I should not be tinkering. i put the Dalaa away and got my favorite ACS 3pc dialed in.
