Nice work! Ain't nothin' like an opening morning live target.
Congrats Mark! :notworthy:
I have never taken an opening day deer. 2nd day, 3rd day, etc. but never the 1st. Maybe I should sleep in this year?
Rob
Oh yeah! Still gotta wait a month for season here...
Great shot bluegrassbowhunter. That one looks delicious!
Way to go Bluegrass! I can taste that now,,,,cooked all day in the crockpot with a onion chopped up in it and the meat falling apart,,,poured over a big ol biskit!

Way to go Mark!! All did was feed the skeeters, going again this evening. I have 12 bucks on 2 camera, within 48 hours, 4 of them whoppers, about the size you an KY TJ kill.
Great shot.
I had one at 10 yards but couldn't get the camera and bow on her at the same time. I'll give it another go in the morning.
Great way to kick off your season, Congrats
Congratulations and good shootin!!! Man, season can't get here soon enough now. C'mon October.

Good job Mark. RC

WAy to go Jeff!! Congrats Buddy, ya done good! I had one about the twin to yours out in the field tonight, 80 yds or so, no shot. He did not come to the food plot, just out playing around and trying to get away from the flies.
Congrats Jeff! Nice lookin' buck right there! I'd be proud too.
Awesome Jeff, nice buck.
I got my first trad deer with a Browning Wasp 2 years ago, and like you, give the guys and gals on this site all the credit for their great advice.
See if you can scrounge up a glove for your bud York. He had a package delivered today.
:bigsmyl:
Congrats!!

Congrats! Great shooting guy!
Congrats!!
Fanstastic stuff Jeff, congrats Brother! Nice skinhead Mark.
Well I have yet to be able to get out. I couldn't go Saturday morning due to my daughters field hockey game. Was planning on going after that but there was a lot of rain here from the hurricane. I don't do rain anymore. Planning on going out today after church if there isn't anymore rain.
Long 4-1/2 month season so I'll get out there soon enough. Best of luck to all my Kentucky Brothers.
Congrats guys!!
I live a short walk from the ohio river.I've often thought about buying my license and trying my luck in KY. I even have family around Lietchfield and Brandenburg areas

And you should, I understand thats excellent hunting in that area.
A big congrats to Mark and Jeff. Have "outlaws " visiting this weekend, no hunting for me.They get upset when you butcher a deer in the kitchen with a housefull of citified yankees. Plan on hitting the woods wed/thur.
Way to go Mark & Jeff!!
I've still got a long 4 week wait til our opener.
Randy, the only family that owns any hunting land doesnt allow bow hunting. He has had bad experiences with bow hunters in the past. I could probably firearm hunt there but most of his immediate family and him hunt on it. I need to check out the public ground i guess
Congrats Mark and Jeff!!
My buddy Joe killed a great double drop tine buck yesterday. Hopefully he will post it soon.
No luck yesterday and it looks like the rain will be here today. I will try again tomorrow.
Saw a few on the way in but nothing came under my stand. And it was hot!!!!
Thats great news TJ.... Our season is still weeks away. With the rain, I've been in the basement shooting. Been working on my form the last week or so. Trying to get rid of some bad habits
For pics and story about the fellow TJ refers too go to Highlights 2012 Forum. KY double Delphine.
Nice goin and great shot. Urban zones start Sept.15th here in Indiana it's getting close.

I love seeing Kentucky deer it makes me get out there, but with all this rain and truck down it makes hard. I dont think my wife would want me to take her car to my Uncles farm where I will need my 4x4 to get there in this rain. I'm glad season last until the middle of January.
Good looking deer to all. Great shooting!
Congratulations guys! 3 weeks to go in TN.
