Title: Dirtybird does great work-more pics
Post by: pdk25 on August 29, 2012, 09:13:00 AM
My good buddy, Dave Sisamis really hooked me up.  I wanted some heavy wood arrows to shoot out of my Morrison ILF bow and my HH Rogue. I got Pat Carter to send some 110-115# surewood shaft to Dave, and this what Dave sent me.  I am very happy with these beautiful arrows and can't wait to get the tips tapered and get some tuffheads installed on them.  Thanks so much, Dave.

Very nice arrows, but aren't they a little heavy for most normal people. LOL

Never claimed to be normal, lol.  Just some more toys that I am fortunate to have.  Dave did a great job.  They should be pretty stout.  If this weather ever cools down, I will try to stick some pigs with them.

I like the ones with the dyed natural feathers the best.        They all look great though.

Those feathers look familiar because Magnus did them for me.  Thanks for the feathers Matt, they came out awesome.  I'm glad you like the arrows Pat.  Now lets get em bloody and make em look really good.

Here are some more pics.  One from the field with the arrows Dave already made, and some more pics from another dozen that he made for me.  120-125# spine surewood shafts.

That may clash with the colors, but I have never been known for my fashion sense.

Those are my favorite Pat. Bloody would look better. If Dave keeps groundhog hunting he is'nt going to have time to make arrows for anyone else.

He's pretty impressive around the turkey woods too!  Great looking arrows.. Makes me want to ditch the carbons and shoot real arrows.

Just got these in today.  125-135# spined surewood shafts with a spiral stain.  These are my favorites so far.  They should shoot nice out of a bow that I have ordered from Nate at BAMA bows that should be 100# @ 29".  Now hopefully Dave will be too busy hunting to do more arrows or will work on some of these beauties for himself.
