Title: How to tell which bevel
Post by: Cyclic-Rivers on August 28, 2012, 08:29:00 PM
OK,

I admit it, I made an impulse purchase on a new bag of the old Grizzly broadheads.

I have no experience with single bevel and couldnt find a thread as to tell how to tell which is which. That is not to say they dont exist because I know I saw one a year ago. I think it was by Terry and a head that Joe buck may have sent him

How do I tell which bevel I have so if and when I decide to sell or trade them, I can be honest?  Ore if I decide to use them, I will know what fletching to use.

I'll bet they're either right or left bevel.

Sorry, I couldn't resist and seriously, I would like to know too.

Holding the head in your hand with the tip pointed away from you a right bevel head will have the file marks on the right side.  Visa Versa for the other side.

John,

That's better than right or wrong bevel    :p

Thank you Chris, these I guess are right bevel then.  Your method is very simple as long as I can make a "L" with my hand to remember which is my right and left side.   :knothead:
