Thanks, I saw a super K reproduction and could not believe how much it looked like mine, that was a one piece and would be lighter, which I may like, saw it for sale in the classifieds as well.
Im with Tomsm44, it aint fancy but it will get the job done. 70" 65-70 lbs Hill style longbow " Ole No Name". Osage and black glass. All the markings were lost in a previous refinish. No matter though, she hits like a hammer and goes where you point her. Go to & back up, but which is which? Yet to be settled. I'm sure I'll hunt with them both.
The Saber runs a lower brace & is a little faster, but the Buffalo Hunter is smoother drawing. There set-up to shoot as close to the same as I could get them.

no, as long as ALL bait is removed 30 days prior to the season opener you are legal. The bait in the picture was gone withing 48 hours of being on the ground. Camera was removed that same day. Spot is legal and ready to go.
thanks
Nice looking bows!
I'm shooting both bows very well and I'm kind of on the fence as to which I will be hunting with...The first is my Costal Bend Longbow 65lbs at 28inches and the other is a Martin Mamba 55lbs@28.... Both have done the trick in the past I guess it will just come down to what mood strikes me opening day.
These groups were about two weeks apart from 25 yards. About my max distance I want to shoot so I feel very confident with either bow.

This year, I'm leaving my beloved 68 Kodiak Hunter on the rack. Sorry Honey, I have strayed...
Since I picked up an AMF / WING Red Wing Hunter 50#, I have not been able to put it down. I'm in love! While the finish is not quite as nice as my Dad's early 60's Rosewood RWH (Houston), it shoots just the same, there is no difference. What a grip! It shoots right where I look. Lightening speed, even with Dacron B-50! At 58" AMO, it is the perfect size for tree stands and stalking in thick cover, even with my 29.5" draw. I picked up some cedar arrows from 3-Rivers, an old school Kwikee Kwiver and some 2 blade 125 Zwickeys.
Yes, that cool October air is sure going to smell nice this year.
59 Bear polar 46# @28, about 50 @ my 30"
