Took my BW MAII and one of the arrows I will be hunting with in a couple weeks.
30ish yards, 3/8" dia stick stuck in the foam.
Bow up... tension.. draw... hit anchor... hold... thump.
Would have taken a pic but the stick was obliterated by the Zwickey Delta :goldtooth:
Couldn't believe it. What a great feeling. I saw the pieces fly and smiled inside and out.
:archer2:
I hope I can hold it together with a bull screaming in my face.
Those elk don't have any clue the trouble they are in.
Good luck on your upcoming hunt!
You'll do well pilgrim.
All I want is the opportunity to interact with elk, enjoy the mountains and maybe... just maybe get a shot. Anything beyond that is all bonus.
This is a life long dream of mine. Wish I had gone after it a lot sooner.
There you go
I would say good luck but it sounds like you don't need it.
Sounds like right now is the time! Have a great/safe hunt. I will get the fire going in anticipation of the story and pictures..... :campfire: :campfire: :campfire:
Decided to start several fires... otherwise it will get crowded.
Good luck to you! I too am after elk this season and am shooting well right now. It woud be nice to see it all come together on an elk but, like you said, the time in the mtns is worth it and getting the elk is like icing on the cake.
Bisch
Good hunting.
Sounds like your ready. Go get em!
A pretty important step good to go.
Have FUN.
Sick um. Good luck.
Good Luck.. sounds like you are prepared, and have the right attitude, it will all come together...
Sounds like you have everything in the proper place to make this a trip of a lifetime. Enjoy and good luck!
Do you know where you'll be camped
Do you know where you'll be camped
Looks like I wanna know that real bad...
Good luck Jim! I'm very envious. Any time in the woods with a bow in hand is great, but in the mountains chasing elk has got to be high on everyone's bucket list!
Can't wait to see some pics and listen to some stories!
May your back and legs be strong, your feet silent, and your arrow swift and deadly!
Good shooting and good luck on your FIRST elk hunt.
No going back now! :bigsmyl: :archer2:
That will absolutely get the job done.
Live in the moment, and carry your memories forever. Have fun and stay safe.
The real trick is going to be getting the second killing shot off after you stick that 3/8" aiming point in him.
Sorry.
It will probably close around battle campground Elkbreath.
Yeah if I could only get the bull to stabd there long enough to poke a stick in his side to aim at! LOL!
Shooting better than I have in a long while.
