My buddy George Lynch has been at this bowhunting game for a long time. He knows exactly what he wants in his bow grip. I am very, very happy with the standard TT grip, but George needed a couple tweaks that Brian made for him no problem.
I figured you guys would want to see this Bocote and the choice checkering Brian can put on your riser.

Pictures really don't do this riser justice. In person, it looks like you could dive right into the wood!

George is a waterfowl hunter par excellance. His limb veneers are a marsh camo. Once he sends me a good picture of them, I will post 'em up. Until then, one more of the nicest Bocote I have ever seen:

Nice!
Brian has an eye for beauty in the wood. That a great looking TT.
Absolutely love Bocote!!! The bow is really nice too! (LOL)
Very sharp !!!
Bill
Looks great!!
Ohhhh that is a very pretty peice of Bocote.
Steve, tell George I can give that Bocote riser a good home and he can get himself a camo riser to match his marsh limbs
That is some very unique Bocote...Nice.!!
That is great piece of dark Bocote. Like the checkering also.
Great looking bow!
Sweeeeet!!!!!!
Beautiful bow, love dark bocote.
That's a beauty. George is a good guy!
Guys
I know I promised to give an update on how I liked the new grip, but this knee replacement as my buddy Sergio would say has kicked my Arse.
Can you imagine having this bow hanging in your office for 4 weeks and can't even shoot it!!!
Well, I couldn't take it any longer and from one crutch we started letting the arrows fly...I am beside myself and Brian Wessel I just want thank you in going the extra distance for me. By the pictures you can see that the grip is narrower with more drop and squared off at the heel. Even with my strength being off a little my groups are very good (pure murder at 10 yds. lol).
What i like about this grip for me as I push through the shot the bow cradles perfectly in the palm of my hand and as a end result creates better follow through and tighter groups. Also I will never own a bow with out the checkering...simply aids in the locked and solid placement of the bow.
To me, being in the Waterfowl industry it's such a pleasure to be part of Trad Gang and all the great people I have met and call my friends. I'm sure that there is a bunch of great bowyers on this site and I hope I get to know alot of you...but Brian thanks so much man for what you do and glad to call you a friend.
You guys stay tune for early October...Brian, Mike, Steve O, myself and a few others will be smacking some honkers with the stick and string.
Also any of you guys interested in a TT and would like to talk to me about my grip or close enough to me to shoot it give me a shout.
Hang'em Low
George
This is a great piece of Bocote,I like it that dark.Checkering is becoming a priority for me too.
Brian out did himself once again finding that wood.
Beautiful bow....enjoy and congrats :clapper:
Nice bow George. I should have my new TT done by the time of the goose roundup. Bloodwood veneers and dyamondwood riser. Brian should be finding time to put snakes on it and checker grips as well. Mike
That's gorgeous!
i like the darker Bocote - very nice!!

 How do you keep getting getting in line in front of me?
Dang celebrities ;)
Alas, I will have to shoot my old TallTines longbow on the goose hunt. I am going to go real old school...swaged 2018 green Gamegetters  Might have to break out a few Abowyer Whitetails to go along with the big Snuffers!
real nice!
Steve O you are right about George and his bird hunting ventures. But I shot with George at Lenawee with Eric Coudron and Gary Cupp Jr. I enjoyed every moment because watching those guys shoot the bow instinctively was a treat. I figure George would be humble and not gloat but he can flat out shoot. I am here to tell you the boy can really get it done.George,Ed Long says Howdee Doo and hopefully you get over the knee thing!! ED
Here are those Camo Limbs

Amazing!
Your knee is doing fine George. Just put more weight on the other side. We can always use a game cart to get you out there.
That bow is flat out georgious. Much better looking than the pictures I had of it.
I like the looks of that grip. Afte Rod's class this past weekend, i see the advantage of having more surface on the lefthand side to push/cradle against
Ed good to hear fom you...that was a few years ago and I was shooting 74 lb bow back then, now I shoot 20 lbs lighter. Tough to get old.HA!
Mike V hope your hunt is going good.
I'm sorry guys but this Bacote riser is going to be hanging from my tree stands for a long time!
I hope everyone got my answers on thier pm's.
Hang,em Low
George
Beautiful bow. I guess I'm gonna have to try a TT one day soon.
Hey Rope; What moves Faster than a 4 legged Bear??LOL Nice bow!
I can tell you it sure isn't me!!!!
Hey Buddy when are you going to be in the States? I love to have you here couple days and show you our shop...maybe we can do a hunt together.
I owe you a hunt after all the hospitality you showed me, and i even got a bear!!! I know Roger thought he was small, but hey i shot him in the heart meant a smaller target... also learned it was a new breed of bear that deflates. LOL!
Take Care my Northern Brother
Wow, it has that "layered" look of ziricote. Tremendous bow.
Guys
I'm going to order a couple more sets of limbs for this beautiful Bacote riser, what woods would you guys reccommend that would go with my riser?
Thanks
G
You are a pretty smart guy George...I would tell Brian to pick something that looks good!
That handle is so classy I might just go with plain old black glass limbs.
Bacote ofcourse.Though as Steve mentioned black glass would look nice with that dark riser and the black accent stripes and would not cost as much
George you could go with some really light colored myrtle, to show some contrast. But asking Brian is a safe bet because he has an eye for making a bow look great.
STUNNING  VERY NICE
Thanks for the ideas and pics some of you sent me...I think one set will be black and I'll let brian pull his magic on the last set.
Opening day of goose here man...I wish you guys could share in some of this fun.
Goose nuggets for lunch! HA!

I had my TT grip made similar to Georges grip.He kindly sent me some pics.It has worked out really well for me.A bit smaller and lower than the standard grip.Melts in the hand.
Beautiful!
Guy's
Its been a few months shooting this bow, and very happy with the consistancy that I' shooting. Scoped an arrow last week...just got to get a good buck in front of me.

How did I miss this one. Wow! Drop dead gorgeous sir! I'm with Steve O and think black glass would look really classy. It would tie into the natural black in the bocote, and create a center piece effect on the unique riser. Bocote limb vaneers just seems a little too matching IMO.
Very nice,
:archer2:
beautiful bow brother. you should be proud of it. good luck.
The bacote is beautiful, but IMO the camo limbs are not. Just not for this guy.
Camo is not for everybody, they look good. I have become fond plain old Black Glass and last spring had a set of limbs made for my Silvertip with black glass....they look good to me!
yea its all different for everyone...i do love these camo limbs, but a set of black is in the near future.
I've always loved to shoot different bows, but with this bow have become a one bow guy and my shooting has been really consistant.
