So I tried bareshafting an Easton Gamegetter 500 today with the 125gr tips cut to 30 1/2" according to STU`s Calculator. I don`t know how far away to stand,but I tried from 10ft away first. The point hit what I was pointing at,but the back end of the arrow is way out to the left. I tried at 20yds and got the same result. Does this indicate stiff or weak? or none of the above?
weak spine but try not to go by the way the arrow sticks in the target. go by the way you see it flying. tail left = weak spine, tail right = stiff spine.(right hand shooter) i usually try it at 15yards, and you can fine tune in even more by going back farther in distance. but try to use good form and a good clean release.

go by the flight of the arrow. tail left is weak, right is stiff. I usually start at 15 yds, if I cant see it good enough there ill move back until I can see which way its kicking. when I ge teh bare shafts flying good ill take a fletched arrow and shoot it through paper and fine tune. just the way I was told to do it and its been working awsome
i bareshaft at 10 till its flying perfect then i take out the paper tuner and papertune the bareshaft if that tunes fine i'll fletch one up and tune that perfectly
i also papertune fletched broadhead arrows too
Fletch one up, Shoot the bareshaft and a fletched shaft in a group, usually works well to have the bareshaft hitting slightly to the right(weak) and maybe lower. Worry about were the shafts hit repeatedly not nock orientation. If its tail left in the air at 20-25 yards it will slide right and impact right showing weak.
Once grouping tune while replacing bareshaft with broadhead fletched and shoot it with field point fletched.
I agree about picking shafts a little weak when bareshafting. I use to always end up too stiff.
