I've got a few Razorheads laying around some are new some aren't and I was wondering what they weigh. I might put some inserts in some of them and kill a deer this fall with one. and was just wondering what it would take to get it up to my current point weight.
I've never killed a deer with a razorhead and to me that just seems like something that should be on every bowhunter's bucket list.
I might add these are the brown glue on heads.
115 without bleeders or adapter,125 with bleeder.
Thanks
More like 140 with bleeder and adapter.
Im not sure of the brown razorheads?, but I always heard and assumed that the old green razorheads were around 145 grains.
Without adapters JimB is correct, the old ones were 115 without and 125 with inserts.
well I just went out to my shop and weighed the bare broadhead, they average around 115 grns, the bleeder blades weigh approx 5grns, the solid core short aluminum screw on inserts weigh 35grns. I weighed a complete Bear razorhead screw in and it weighed right at 150grns minus the bleeder blade.
good question... I've killed everything from squirrels to deer to hogs with them and never really did KNOW how much they weigh. It's sad- as long as i've been at this, I still do not own a grain scale. Thanks for the info.
