kILLING SNAKES IS ILLEGAL IN MOST STATES UNLESS THEY ARE A THREAT TO YOU OR YOURS. As it should be.

Don't promote the killing of snakes!

You do need to know your local states rules before you harvest any animal. ... In NM there is a bag limit per day per species on reptiles and amphibians, and I believe most states are the same. There is a few species that have a 0 bag limit... I am not for killing snakes just to back a bow but I do pick up roadkill when I see it. I stand behind the principle that dont kill it if you dont want to eat it. There is no better camo for a bow than snake skin IMO

I used to be a Hunter Safety Instructor in California and I would always catch students, old and young, off guard by asking what do you need to legally catch or kill a snake?....a valid Fishing License of course.
