Got my new A&H ACS last week and have finally had time to shoot it today. 64" 57@27. Working with axis 400's, total weight 550gr. Right at 180fps with 10gr/lb. Still working on brace height until string is shot in. (http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb110/dctyndall/DSC02850com.jpg)
good looking set-up......
oops , meant 55@27. This is my first metal riser bow. I like the weight of the riser, seems like it makes it easier hold on target till the arrow hits.
Texbow2,
Nice looking bow! You are a lucky man!! More info needed...what is the brace height? Does it draw smooth? Thinking about getting one, just need to be pushed over the edge.....
-Charlie
I do like the way those ACS' look...classy.
Right now I have brace ht at 7 which is right in the middle of the recommended range. Once the string is set I'll move it down to 6 3/4 and start working my way up. The black looks realy nice, the picture doesn't do it justice. Trying to decide if I want to paint it for hunting
I like my Alcoa Ebony one too. Great shooting bows. Congrats!
Smooth shooting bows
Congrats, nice bow and good shooting also.
Serge
Texbow2,
Does it have much armslap at the lower brace height?
-Buckeye
no slap at 7 unless i get sloppy. By the time i get it tuned for hunting I will probably have it a little higher for clothing clearance. 6 3/4 -7 1/4 is the recommended range.
Sweet..congrats on the bow!!
Hey Texbow,if you ever want to try building your own longbow,I`ll be more than happy to help you.I have a couple of forms and everything else you need. I helped 3 people build bows last year and they all killed deer with them. And I just live on the west side of Lake Georgetown.
